Remember a couple of weeks back I was ranting about my trip to Laos with my royal family ?!
Well, here's the full in sight . :) Day 1 Princess Jen's had to fly Air Asia . . . the last time she flew was via Business Class to London so Air Asia to her was . . . @$#&haha
just kidding !
I ain't that picky alright ?!
but if I had a choice, I rather not fly Air Asia .
BUT of cos it saves a lot . Where did her royal highness stayed ?
a garden-themed chalet
very down to earth, eh?

the royal room
a bed . dresser . bathroom . towel rack
USD $25 a night
=.=
Princess was then starving . . and she had to walk 20 minutes before she reached . . .
beef noodlessuper yummy makes you wanting more
Basically there is nothing much to do in Laos . all the streets & shops pretty much look like this;
So the best thing to do in Laos . . is to drink (alcohol) and eat till you can't walk home !!
our 'tea' at 2.30 pm ?!beer lao . wintermelon tofufa . fried garlic pork fingers According to Sister No. 2,her visit to Cambodia a year ago was rather an eye-opener. The children there have are stripped down to the basic necessity.
Hence she came up with the idea of buying some goodies for the Laotian children. And so whilst the royal family were resting,Princess Jen, Aunty Jo & Sister No. 1 prepared for the royal humanitarian work .
6 pm,
and it was dinner time - Our pick of the night, recommended by Sister No. 2's masseur;French Cuisine !~
USD$55 for all there was 8 of us .
cheap, eh?
Cruised along the streets afterwards, and found nothing to do, other than buying . . .

Laotian ham chi peng
the ones here in KL taste much better, actually !
:)
Day 2Just strolling along the streets doing nothing .Treated ourselves to a 2 hours herb massage that was worth every cent of it !:)
our lunch
green curry . Laotian sausages .
basil chicken . Laotian phad thai . Laotian sticky rice
Day 3Sight seeing !~Aboard my royal carriage .
First stop:That Dam
basically it's a monument ?Second stop:Haw Phra Kaew

formal home of the emerald Buddha statue
which was stolen from there
its stoned-craved dragon stairway Third stop:The golden arch
Fourth stop:
Orphanage

this is where we gave out our goodies~
the home only takes in children of ethnic minorities
from rural areas of Laos (i.e the mountains)
Fifth stop:
That Luang Stuppa
the main attraction of Laos
basically it's a sacred temple .
for detailed history of each of the place I visited (except the Orphanage of cos),
please refer to the Wikipedia .
it sure gives a good account of them!
;)haha
Day 4
Massage + Lao National Museum & more French Cuisine .
Day 5
Home Sweet Home
Hmmmm,
now the ultimate question;
will Princess Jen re-visit Laos?
.
.
.
.
.
Most probably NOT !!
haha
But I have to admit, the food was great .
More than great .
However,
this is not my idea of a holiday .
but apparently, according to the royal sisters it could be due to the age factor ~
They commented that when I'm in my late 30s approaching 40s, my mindset will change .
erm . . .
Perhaps !~
But till then I have a good decade ahead of me ~
;)
